The PGA tour players warmed up with their driver and hit 5 recorded shots with impact paper on their driver face. They then were handed a club they never hit before and without a practice swing hit 5 shots with the test driver; a 9.5 degree, older Bridgestone J33R with PM702s graphite design stiff shaft and the four longitudinal grooved golf grip, called Grooved Grip.
Their driver results are on the left and the experimental on the right. The results showed player hit is more near the center and/or made more compact impact spots. The results of driving stats in the next days in the tournament were available on PGA web site.

Young player with one win each on PGA and Nationwide Tour. This was the first player not to show improvement with experimental. He had consistent centered impacts with his driver so did not improve on this. This result establishes that it was not the experimental driver’s head, shaft, etc that was causing the consistent improvement with other players on testing.
