There are a number of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) which we hope to address.
Q: | What makes up the price of a golf putter? |
A: | There are several components that go into the price of a golf putter. There is the cost of the design, the materials, the manufacture process, the manufacturer's country of origin, the finishing of the head, the shaft quality and the grip. |
Q: | Why are your clubs so expensive? I see putters listed on the Internet for $9.95. |
A: | The quick and complete answer is Attention to Detail. The same feature that makes for the best medicine and surgery. Let us look at each of the items listed above that go into making a Prescription Golf putter.
- The designs are obviously unique.
- The designs were created by professionals on CAD with attention to weighting, center of gravity and moment of inertia.
- The materials are finest aluminum, stainless steel and or brass.
- The heads were manufactured to CNC certified standards.
- They were manufactured in U.S.A. A club made in Asia is less expensive for well known reasons and standards.
- The finishing of the head was attended to in U.S.A. by top of the line company who does many of the industry's putters.
- The shafts are the best in the industry.
- The grips are professional grade and most with logos.
- Independent testing was performed before, during and after each phase of development. This is no little expense.
- Do not forget profit, so we stay in business.
|
Q: | What about testing? |
A: | Prescription Golf subjected their putters to testing at every stage of development.
The prototypes were tested with various weighting. The rolled face we use was proven effective. We reveal our testing results in abbreviated form when describing our putters and will give full disclosure to purchasers.
|
Q: | Why do you have a limited warranty policy? |
A: | We have discussed this elsewhere under our policies. Agreement is a condition of purchase so there will be no misunderstanding. The short answer is that we want to remain in business. Many start-up companies have gone into bankruptcy in 30 days with this type of policy. To offer a money back guarantee for other than material or manufacturing defects would be taking responsibility for purchaser's personal opinions or abilities to use the putter. We warranty what we control, nothing else. |
Q: | What are your claims about Prescription Golf's putters? |
A: | Our claims are multiple and varied.
- The putters are obviously original. We like to say our thinking was out of the box. Therefore our retail slogan is "Out of the box. Into the hole."
- They have unique designs.
- They have patent pending features.
- The rolled face is unique and produces a horizontal contact impression on the ball.
- The weighting placement is industry first. We like to describe the Pro Forma-R™ in medical terms; weighting is posterior, inferior and peripheral. In golf terms the weighting is back, bottom and heel toe.
- The design produced industry setting performances on independent testing. Please recognize that the testing was independent and without prejudice.
- Our descriptions are unique.

Q: | What is so unique about the rolled face putter you are promoting? Has there not been other rolled face putters introduced and failed to be popular? |

PRO FORMA-R™ |
PREDECESSORS |
Our putters have a "True Roll" radius face. That is that the milling was done in such a way that the curvature is continuous. The radius of the curvature is less than that of a golf ball. This is in contrast to rolled face predecessors that were milled in such a way that the face looked curved but the center hitting area was flat. Therefore the impact geometry of the predecessors was no different than a flat face putter.
|
Q: | Does the head cover come with purchase of the putter? |
A: | No, unless the purchaser is part of our Endorsor program. |
Q: | Do you sell various length shafts? |
A: | Yes and no. We will allow special order on shaft length. It is probably more cost effective to buy the standard 35 inch putter and remove the grip, butt cut the shaft, and re-grip to your specifications. |
Q: | How do I get the Alternative Medicine for Putting® course? |
A: | You can purchase the self study version on the Internet site. Better yet is to take the course live. |
Q: | How much is shipping? |
A: | The shipping amount is calculated off the purchaser's zip code and presented prior to confirming the purchase. |
